An average of one child reported killed every day since the truce was announced, the agency says.
UNICEF says at least 300 children have reportedly been killed in Gaza in the 300 days since a ceasefire was announced in October 2025, despite an agreement on the suspension of military operations and expanded humanitarian access. The agency’s regional director for the Middle East and North Africa said a ceasefire that still leaves children dying every day is failing the children it was meant to protect.
Even amid the ongoing violence, UNICEF and its partners continue to deliver clean water, sanitation and healthcare across Gaza, reaching hundreds of thousands of people with lifesaving support in the first half of 2026 alone.
